World Chimpanzee day
To mark World Chimpanzee day on 14 July 2018, DARCH had the pleasure of welcoming over 30 students and their teachers from local primary and secondary schools who were participating in a student competition to commemorate the day to celebrate and raise awareness of this endangered species. Supervised by the Roots and shoots of the Jane Goodall Institute it was a perfect opportunity for the students to learn more about the conservation of buildings and the built environment in general. They had a tour of the newly restored Old Boma and the permanent exhibition and participated enthusiastically in a discussion about the city's built environment. We look forward to taking them on a tour in the near future.
